this week in Israel…
See that pink edged building? It’s the Opera Tower. My brother and I used to think it would be the coolest thing ever to live there. My dad used to tell us a rendition of Little Red Riding Hood where the grandma lived in that building and Taz (of Looney Toons) was the big bad wolf.
Also I like the beaches further up north better.

Shopping mall in Tel Aviv with seven floors. Who says there’s no shopping in the Middle East?
This is where I went to look for boots on Sat night. Of course I found nothing. I HATE THE WAY THIS PLACE IS BUILT it’s so inconvenient getting around… And I ALWAYS get lost. Always.
But I love it still :P
Live cast, enthusiastic audience and everything. IT WAS SO AWESOME.
If you have a chance to go to a midnight showing, go watch it. At least once. Although the first time would be a totally different experience than any other time, and you should probably try both. BUT SO COOL.
Funny moment: Being a Rocky virgin, obviously I had a V eyelinered onto my forehead. I was a little anxious about the whole thing because, well, everyone looked so awesome and I was just normal and yeah. I was sitting really near the front.. So then:
She later turned out to be the responsible one for the cast team, and she just wanted to recommend that I volunteer for sacrifice, but still. That was a scary moment xD
AT ANY CASE.
I’m going again near the end of this month- Friday 27th January, in Tel Aviv. Clubhed, 11pm. Anyone who hasn’t gone yet should go. Anyone who has gone should go too. :P
If anyone sees this and is going to be there, let me know. I’ll squee if I get to meet a Tumblrperson IRL xD
Going to visit Forever 21 for the first time in my life tomorrow
I’m praying right now that they’ll have cool accessorize that are also cheap. I already given up on trying to find clothes~
They opened a new Forever 21 shop (first!) in Israel.
I absolutely LOVE Forever 21. And then the superawesome Bangkok branch got burnt down in the riots
So this is what I WOULD be doing
Had I not had so much homework to do
Over my 2 day Hannukah holiday
Wooo Technion.
(That date’s in British form yo. As in, 10th September 2012.)
Red Hot Chili Peppers in Israel (Yarkon Park, Tel Aviv). Who’s coming? (I’m serious.)
I’m sitting here being all depressed and miserable because it’s Friday and I’m in uni studying (although I went out last night) and not at home. Then Liran sends me this and even though I already knew it- it sent me LOLing :) (it’s filmed near where I live!)
allyouneedisyayness asked: YOU'RE IN TEL AVIV TOO? This is getting creepy, haha.
Not riiiight now (am currently on holiday in Bangkok), and most of the time during the school year I’m in Haifa (Technion, for uni), but on weekends- almost always at home in Tel Aviv xD
Yesterday was pretty much the best day I’ve had in weeks, maybe months.
I woke up pretty early and spent a couple of hours replying to emails/messages/posts/chats/texts from people I love :3 as I like to do morningly. Then, we headed to my aunt’s place.
My entire family has been planning to go to the beach. By that I mean, my mum, 2 brothers, 3 cousins and aunt. These are the cousins I stay with every weekend during the academic year- so they’re pretty much siblings to me, we’re all pretty close. To this bunch joined my 9y/o cousin’s friend, who is always Around, so she’s practically family. And my friend Or, who spent a week in Greece prior. So all in all, a bunch of people I haven’t been spending enough time with lately because it was exam season. So once Or arrived, we all skipped our way there and had a few nice hours in the sun. We were in the water pretty much the WHOLE time (not typical- I usually get bored and go nap in the sun soon enough), and everyone got along really nicely (also untypical - so many children, we usually would fight sometimes on these sort of outings).
When we got home, Or and I decided to carry out our Food Plans - we’ve been wanting to eat in this Sushi place for a while. So that was awesome. Then we headed to the cinema to watch HARRY FREAKIN’ POTTER AND HOLY SHIT IT WAS AMAZING. I have to admit I’m not usually that great a fan of the movies just because the books are so much better, but this… It was amazing. Fitting ending to the series. I held it all together until;
“Lilly? After all this time, Severus?” “Always.”
Me:
It struck a little close too close to home.
And that just went on till the credits ended. BUT IT WAS SO GOOD.
So THEN (midnight, tomorrow must travel back to uni, and no, the adventure of the day has not ended) we decided to go check out the housing demonstrations in Tel Aviv. People pitched up tents (LOADS of tents. Hundreds of them.) in a well known avenue, demonstrating against disproportionally high apartment costs. Or something. It looked like a in-town Woodstock. Pretty cool, but not that interesting.
Then I went home and slept :P
COLOUR. SO MUCH COLOUR. :D
It says “This is what you are breathing now” and I’m preeetty sure the shade of the lungs changes according to air pollution levels :)
Conclusion: cool ad is cool.
