You know those book hangovers when you wake up in the morning after finishing the book the night before and the FIRST thing you think about is the book, and then you have all these feelings still and you don’t know what to do with them, and no one around understands, and it feels like reality is still moving around you but you’re stuck in that book hangover and still cannot make yourself care about anything in the real world because FEELINGS.

It’s like breaking up with a book

You wake up the next morning like “hello world today I can’t wait to read some __ today OH. It’s over :(“

Unless you’re me on most days because they the first thought that goes through your head in the morning is “Shit. No, not again…”

NO NO NO.

Infancy-Kidengarten: Correct

Elementary: “Mum can I go to the library again?” “You’ve already been today” “Yes but I finished my book.”

Middle-High School: “English used books shop? WHERE?”

Uni: “I have no time to read anymore. I’ve been reading the same book for over two weeks” :’(

Future: ?

Reading Hurts

treesquirrrel:

That moment when you finish a book, look around, and realize that everyone is just carrying on with their lives as though you didn’t just experience emotional trauma at the hands of a paperback.

Dear people of the world; If you ever tell me something like “I don’t read” or “I don’t like reading”, you WILL be judged, and you WILL be automatically blacklisted.

You will lose cool points. A LOT of cool points. I can’t quite describe how it’d make me feel about you, but it is not a good/nice feeling.

Yes, this is prejudice. No, I do not care.

Finished reading this too (in English this time). So, generally, finished The Hunger Games series. It was good- but not as good as Catching Fire, which I reckon was the best. This does have a load of pretty quotes, though.

Shamefully enough, I haven’t gotten through a book since I started uni. Reading this right now (in Hebrew, but what to do that’s the copy I managed to get), and it makes me realise reading is just what I needed in the past few months. It makes me so calm. I didn’t see how much I missed it.
As for the book - I’ll probably finish it later tonight and then commentate as necessary. But so far it’s amazing.
